Shorty Awards voting closed, Carly moves to finals

After 43 days and thousands of tweets by dedicated fans promoting it, voting for the Shorty Awards have officially come to an end. Carly’s Angels have a lot to be proud of, Carly is moving on to the finals in two categories: Singer and Reality Star. The power is now out of the hands of the fans and will now be decided by the members of the Real-Time Academy. They will base their votes on: Quality and originality of content on all social media platforms; Innovation in using social media in new ways; Impact made on the world; Engagement with followers, fans, friends and foes; And support received through passionate Shorty nominations. Also moving into the finals are fellow X Factor contestants Diamond White and CeCe Frey in the Reality Star category.

Carly’s mom, Terri, just tweeted out the latest news coming out of California,
They are also joined by Toby Gad who is best known for co-writing with Fergie on “Big Girls Don’t Cry” as well as Beyonce’s “If I Were A Boy”. The latter was performed by Miss Carly Rose herself during her time on The X-Factor. Toby Gad has also worked with big names in the industry such as One Direction, Alicia Keys, Kelly Clarkson, Miley Cyrus, among others.

A few weeks ago, Carly Rose Sonenclar surprised a bunch of fans at the Ed Sheeran concert at Radio City Music Hall in NYC. She talked about that experience on her StageIt show and covered “Give Me Love” with her brother Russ. Carly and Ed even discussed the possibly of writing together at some point. We would love to see that happen, but right now Carly seems content to soak up as much Ed Sheeran music as possible. She took in her second show yesterday, this time in Los Angeles at the Nokia Theater.

Carly Rose Sonenclar attended and performed at the ANA Board Dinner Presented By VEVO at The Darby, Tuesday night in New York City.
Pictures revealed Carly on stage, and we’ve learned she performed four of her X Factor songs: Your Song, As Long As You Love Me, Somewhere Over The Rainbow, and Feeling Good. Also released were pictures of a backstage shoot of Carly.

It was a big night in music on Sunday as the Grammys recognized some of the best talent in the industry. We have no doubt that Carly Rose Sonenclar will be receiving her own invites to the show over the coming years, but this year she was taking it in as a fan as some of her favorite artists were nominees and musical guests.

Carly Rose to appear at 10th Annual Kids Party for a Cure

Coming up on March 10th, Carly Rose Sonenclar will be a special guest at the 10th Annual Kids Party for a Cure in support of the Diabetes Research Institute (DRI).
“Anything I can do to help kids I will. That’s why I chose to be involved with the Kids Party for A Cure and the Diabetes Research Institute,” said Carly Rose who will be at the event and who will be meeting with eligible sponsors. “So many kids and young people have contacted me since I made mytelevision debut and I’ve come to understand how important it is to get involved. Being able to support the DRI in its effort to find a cure for diabetes is special to me because it gives me an opportunity to help kids my age.”
“Given Carly’s wonderful performances, and the type of person we have come to know her to be, we couldn’t be more excited to have her at the Kids Party for a Cure,” said Honorary Chairperson René Checchia, who is being joined in directing the event with co-chairs Frankie Lam and Sheri Donaldson. “It’s so important to have young people like Carly Rose step forward in the spotlight to put a sense of urgency on the need to find a cure for type 1 diabetes. We are extremely appreciative of her participation and support.”
Special sponsorship opportunities will include a “Meet and Greet” and photo with Carly. Kids and parents alike will be busy from the second they arrive – playing the newest video and arcade games, jumping on inflatables, bowling, playing pool and more. Amidst the revelry, attendees will enjoy a wide selection of food and beverages to please all palates. Participants are able to purchase sweepstakes tickets, bid on exciting items offered in the silent auction and all kids will receive goody bags on their way out the door.
